VOGUE tourmemories part 1.
The first days of our Euro tour, we spend in Germany with The Shitty Limits (UK). They are funny guys and a good live band, kinda garage punk/hardcore. More punky sound than us, but still a good combination for a decent show, I think. The first show, Osnabruck, was AMAZING. Imagine a farm in the middle of nowhere, tons of free beer and bands such as the limits, bratpack, union town...it was a blast! The next day we played Hamburg with The Shitty Limits and a shitty band called I walk the line. I think they are pretty big, but I don't seem to get why. Anyway, the show was ok and we had lots of drinks that night. I think it's the first night we started drinking whiskey. It hit us pretty hard and "den danny" was there. Before we went to bed, we all sat in the band appartment, smoking pot and talking. When the guys from I walk the line entered, they wanted to smoke with us. We had 2 smokes going around, but Brammeke (our driver) decided he didn't want these guys to smoke with us. So he rolled some tabacco in a long leeve and passed it to them, telling them it was some "light" stuff he would like. He didn't notice and we went to bed. So we spend some days touring Germany together and the best day was BERLIN for sure. I had never been there before. We played a show in a small pub near Wild At Heart and the next day we went citytrippin with the whole gang (minus Jan De Wilde, cause he was mysteriously lost). We saw everything there is to be seen in Berlin, such as the Berlin wall (see picture above). We also slept at this crazy building that was fully covered with stencil artwork, which was pretty amazing. Jan was refound at a local pup sipping Irish coffee, telling stories about smoking pot with foreigners. We played our last show with the Limits at Cottbus that night. The show was ok, but then the promoter took us to a horse ranche where we had a whole hostel for ourselves. Kinda sweet to have a decent bed, shower and toilet on tour! After breakfest we left to Warschau, Poland. Don't remember much of our trip to Poland. I think we arrived right in time at the venue, which was a sort of flat. Can't remember the other bands that played, but I remember it was Kasia who set up this show. She's a great girl with a big heart for hardcore. She came to watch us again in Tilburg last weekend, which is pretty cool. We left after the show, cause we had a long ride ahead, destination Prague.
