VOGUE tourmemories part 2.
Leavin Warschau at night to get to Prague in time, it sounds easy but in fact it's a damn long drive. Our drivers drove through the night till early in the morning. We then decided to take a break, at the side of the road, and all sleep a few hours. Vanni had a tent with him, me and jojo slept in the van and the other guys were just sleeping outside. Waking up, I couldn't believe my eyes. The picture above was taken of me and Jan, by Jonas. Water, big trees, fish...it sure felt like a piece of paradise. Me and Jojo took a walk around the water, amazed by the whole setting.
After we all woke up, we drove to a supermarket nearby to get some breakfast. We then had a picknick in the middle of a field next to the road. Good times. On moments like these we had funny conversations, as we were 6 boys on the road without girls around. I'm pretty sure "den danny" was there as well. I remember we had Black Rebel Motorcycle Club playing loudly in the background ("Time won't save our souls..."). Off we were, destination Prague.
I had been to Czech Republic quite a few times, when I was a little boy. Mostly during the winter times, to snowboard and celebrate christmas with my czech friends. Coming to the republic during summer is quite different. I had never realized the country had so much nature to be seen... and arriving in Prague totally spread my eyes wide open. I had forgotten what a beautiful city it is! As the venue was on a hill, we had an amazing view over the whole city. We went down town, met up with Ursula and Laura again, and walked around for a while. I'm in love with water, it's not a secret. The view from the bridge (pic above) in Prague was beautiful. If there's one city I wanna go back to it would definately be Prague (cause it's pretty damn cheap as well!).
We played a show that night in a kind of youth center, not a real venue. It was a good room though. I had a piano standing next to me while playing our set, lots of big beers, sweat and we played pretty tight. After our set me and Jan started drinking whiskey and in no time I put on Damien Marley and the whole room was dancing. Too bad we had to leave a few minutes later, cause we kinda got a party started. Later on we went to a local pub. The walk there was way too long and Jan started to get irritaded, so did I. Coming to the pub, we were pretty dissapointed with the vibe in there and we left fast. Someone threw up that night and it wasn't me. We all had a shower, which we needed badly and then left to Vienna, Austria.
